Coriolis CD Lyrics

1. Between the Wheels

If everything should end in the blink of an eye Would the rules still bend, would you still have time? Have you had your fun? Would you be content to die in your present element? In the final hour of your final day, you’ll whine and cower you’ll have to pay For procrastination before you died. In the end your fun was suicide.

When you stretch your narrow mind, you’ll lie awake in bed at night. Feel your head begin to grind between the wheels of dark and light.

You know you’re not too important to die. Everyone does, it doesn’t matter why. We wonder when and we wonder how, but in the end we all will bow. I’m afraid you’re making a grave mistake, if you think you have eternity, to pay the toll for your blackened soul, and fall down on your knees.

When you stretch your narrow mind, you’ll lie awake in bed at night. Feel your head begin to grind between the wheels of dark and light.

2. Hypothetical Life

Nights filled with sadness drive me to madness. Unlock the memories that run through my head. My past and present feel most unpleasant. I wake up only to stay in my bed. Tears can’t be shed.

Illusions corrupting my view Bringing my thoughts back to you Then every morning it cuts like a knife It’s my hypothetical life.

My fear is unspoken, my heart is broken. I am the victim of choices unmade. It’s not realistic, I’m just sadistic. I feel reality starting to fade. My sweet charade

3. Resurrection Night

It’s getting late, it rises high. Our ray of hope in the midnight sky. The moon is full like my soul within. It’s midnight now let the fun begin.

This is the night of the living dead. Resurrection night. It’s time to paint this ghost town red. In the pale moonlight.

Demons run rampant, the shadowy fiends. As the army of darkness arrives on the scene. Oh what a shock to see us invade. And we’re just the front line, the groundwork is laid.

The army of darkness lies scattered beneath, As I put my dagger back into its sheath. They lost long ago, they had no chance. All along their fate was in our hands.

4. The Irony

The echo within me resounds even more, As legions of skeletons walk through the door. I try to escape, but my ankles are bound. I fall on my face as they gather around.

Pull at my sanity, yank at my heart, sever the feelings I have. Forfeit humanity, tear me apart. Stop that, it tickles. You’re making me laugh.

I no longer run, for I’ve been given wings. I circle above all the ravenous things. They snap at each other, when they can’t reach me. Killing each other, it’s so good to see.

Far above the tainted pool of all the fallen’s blood, I can see the seraphim descending like a flood. Pondering the irony of all that has been done, I endure the final darkness, waiting for the Sun.

5. Demigod

I’m disenchanted with my humanity Imprisoned by what I’m unable to see, but I know it won’t be long. I’m waiting for a revelation. Overcoming my westernization, slowly growing strong. I’m not content to be a man. I’m floating through the alluvial fan, now I know it won’t be long.

I want to be a demigod.

“Redefining Christianity” I know that you’ve been told this is blasphemy, but can you tell me why? What you need is a paradigm. When you die and go to Heaven then you’re out of time, and you’ll wish that you tried.

Why do we have no power? Why do we live in fear? Our beliefs have grown sour. Our delusion is severe.

I know that when it happens you will disapprove. You try to slow me down when I’m on the move, I’m a danger to your “cause”. Suddenly you try to be a saboteur. I’m a better superhuman than you ever were. But you know I have my flaws. (As you so kindly pointed out)

6. Parasytes

I see the world as time goes by, but I can’t understand, Why starving children have to die all across the land. I watch the news, there’s nothing new, another shooting in L.A. Chalk lines fill the sidewalks, people see it everyday. And it’s a shame, but it’s all our fault if the world is going down. Epidemic apathy is going all around.

Now it’s time to stand and fight all the evil parasytes. No more weak religion here, no more hiding, no more fear.

The world’s enraged, because the markets crashed, and they lost their precious dough. While a soldier bleeds on the battlefield to your taxes low. Our minds are weak, we’re so unique we forgot how to survive. We’re living in America, why do we feel so deprived? You complain about the government, and all the laws they wrote. What are you complaining for? You didn’t even vote!

7. Adopting the Stillborn Show me the self-righteous men, and I’ll show you liars. Show me a mind that’s open, I’ll show you a fool. Show me the bravest of kings, and I’ll show you cowards. Show me the child within, I’ll show you my God.

I’m not adopting your stillborn religion. You’ll never mummify me. You only attack me ‘cause you’ve lost your vision. Misery loves company.

Show me the men who can win, and I’ll show you losers. Show me a place to begin, I’ll show you the end. Show me unnamable names, I’ll show you false leaders. Show me inflammable flames, I’ll show you my God.

You call me abrasive, and rightfully so. I know I’m invasive of your status-quo. I’m not looking for colleagues, no need to agree. I won’t pretend that my own mind is free. I’m a rebel with a cause, free of all your laws. Here to make you see that you can be free.

8. Happy Days

Out of the ashes a phoenix will rise, always more noble than the first one. Sorrows will mend, it has come to an end. A beginning has begun.

So the end has arrived, I am glad that I’m alive. Now the tables have been turned. Earth is gone, sing along. Come and join me in this song, as we gladly watch it burn.

Every beginning begins with an end, and I doubt that I’ll miss it all that much. I’ll face the facts, and I’ll never look back. This is for the best you know.

9. The Mansion of the Damned

Welcome to my reality. Just make yourself at home. Lay aside your formality. It’s not required. Have a drink by the fireside. Now you are getting sleepy. Never mind how the others died. You’ll join them soon.

I’ve been imprisoned within this domain, severed from all that is true. There is no cure, I’m infected with pain. I want to give it to you.

Come with me to the other side. It’s not a pretty sight, no. I committed suicide many years ago. I am bound to my misery. All hope is long forgotten. It could have changed so easily. We’ll never know.

Run away from the sadness. Put an end to the madness. Take the keys from my hand, to the mansion of the damned.
